VINTAGE LARGE DEMIJOHN
Beautiful vintage Demijohn also known as a Carboy
The word demijohn is French and is used to describe any large, narrow-necked bottle that is used to hold liquid. These antique demijohns are from Europe and were most often used to transport or store wine. Sometimes they are still covered with their original wicker, but often times they are not.
This particular demijohn is one of many sourced from an elderly Italian gentleman who used to make his own wine over 50 years ago and it had been in his cellar ever since!
They look absolutely stunning large branches or with dried flowers, such as pampas displayed here* or they equally look beautiful as they are!
*Pampas not included
Please note condition is vintage so there may be some imperfections due to it's age however we feel this also adds charm to this beautiful piece.
